Trearddur Bay enjoys a beautiful large, sandy beach sloping to the sea. with rock pools and slipways. This beach has a protected bathing area marked by buoys. Cafes, toilet facilities (including disabled), car parks and beach warden service.  Dogs are welcome on part of the beach all year round.

Gastro-pubs and restaurants offer a wide choice with many local gastronomic delights from wood-fired pizzas at Oceans Edge through to Welsh lamb seasoned with local Anglesey salt at The Seacroft.  For those with a sweet tooth the ice cream parlour at the Sea Shanty should fit the bill.  And for those who wish to treat themselves, the White Eagle at Rhoscolyn is well worth the 10 minute drive.  Or dine outside with pizzas and garlic bread at The Trearddur Bay Hotel, who also offer pub grub at The Inn at the Bay and a fabulous "posh" restaurant at The Bay View. From fussy eaters through to self-proclaimed foodies, you will be spoilt for choice.

Whatever time of year you visit the island there is always so much to see and do.

It is easy to escape into another time and way of life at a popular historic attraction, including striking castles, quaint old harbours, ancient burial chambers and numerous museums and galleries. You could reconnect with nature on one of the many wildlife trails or by visiting a country park or make the most of your Anglesey adventure by taking part in a variety of water-based activities, from sailing through to scuba diving or jet skiing.  Landlubbers may prefer to take one of the many cycle trails, go bird-watching or play a round of golf before exploring bustling local markets to find some delicious home-grown treats.  Or simply gather all the family to enjoy a picnic and an afternoon of rock pooling on the beach.
